Continuing the Journey

Starting out is simple, but continuing the Christian journey requires being intentional with your priorities. Take responsibility for your spiritual growth by journeying with us in four crucial areas.

01
CONNECT
Building Relationships

To connect is to build relationships.

Each member has a significant role and place in the body of Christ. The shared life is defined by the self-giving love of Jesus, who is our head. At Hope EFC, we teach the ‘one-another’ principle of body-life to strengthen community and wellbeing — loving one another, serving one another, encouraging one another.

“Love one another deeply, from the heart.”1 Peter 1:22
02
WORSHIP
Making Much of God

Worship is making much of God.

Worship is the all-embracing activity of glorifying God in every moment of life. Jesus said that true worshippers worship in spirit and in truth. At Hope EFC, we seek to submit will and affection to Jesus, who says, “Worship the Lord your God, and serve Him only.”

“True worshippers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth.”John 4:23
03
GROW
Cultivating Spiritual Life

Spiritual life has to be cultivated.

Growth is a sign of life, and Christ’s likeness is the goal. It is neither automatic nor inherited. At Hope EFC, we equip the nurture of spiritual life through daily repentance and drawing near to Jesus — until He is our heart’s only treasure.

“Grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.”2 Peter 3:18
04
SERVE
Love in Action

Service is love in action.

Jesus came to serve, and not to be served. This makes every follower of Jesus a servant at heart. We are not saved by serving, but we are certainly saved to serve. At Hope EFC, love for God is evidenced in our service to others — inside the church and beyond it.

“The Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve.”Mark 10:45

Take the journey with us

The four areas above aren’t a programme to complete — they’re a rhythm to live by, in the company of others. The best place to begin is simply to come and see. Visit on a Sunday, find a Discipleship Group, or just send us a message. We’d love to walk with you.
